Interfaith Dialogue Kickoff
Location: Lyon Park Community Center
Join us at the Interfaith Dialogue Kickoff event in Lyon Park Community Center. At this event, we will welcome Rev. Terrance Gattis, Habitat International’s Global Chaplain, to speak to the history of Habitat joining with faith communities to build affordable housing. Then, led by the Interfaith Council of Metropolitan Washington (IFC), we will explore our different faith beliefs and how they encourage us to get involved with affordable housing issues in our area. DC Turkey Trot 5K & Half
Location: Georgetown & Fletcher's Boathouse
Start off running before the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving with a fast, flat 5k & half in the heart of Georgetown near the Nation’s Capital. Both events run on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path, however the Half Marathon begins/ends in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club while the 5K begins/ends at Fletcher’s Boat House.
Half – 7:30am (Half marathon has a time limit of 3:15 for completion) – Half starts & ends in Georgetown – $35, until October 31 ($40)
5k – 8am – 5k starts & ends at Fletcher’s Boathouse- $70, until October 31 ($75)
