Biography

Chuck has extensive experience in real estate law and finance. Most recently he served as Director and Senior Lecturer of the Edward St. John Real Estate Program at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Other positions include Associate Dean, Real Estate and Faculty Member at Georgetown University; Counsel, Mortgage-Backed Securities, Real Estate Finance, and Mergers at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP; and Real Estate Senior Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at The American National Red Cross, National Headquarters. Charles holds a J.D. from Cornell University Law School, an A.M. in International Relations from Harvard University, and an A.B. in Economics and International Relations from the University of Chicago. Charles received the Chair’s Award for Collaborative Service from the Counselors of Real Estate in 2014. A few of the many memberships he holds are with the Counselors of Real Estate, Lambda Alpha, George Washington Chapter, Washington DC; The Urban Land Institute; Supreme Court of the United States Bar; Maryland State Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar.
