On behalf of the Board, staff, and families we serve, happy holidays from all of us here at Habitat DC-NOVA! We wish you and your loved ones peace and togetherness, this season and beyond.
Each year we take this time to reflect on the work we’ve accomplished and the people who have made it possible. And each year, our gratitude deepens for the community of volunteers and donors propelling Habitat forward. Thank you for walking alongside us in our mission to create, preserve, and sustain affordable homeownership for our DC and Northern Virginia communities.
Together we’ve achieved much to be celebrated this season: we completed construction on ten homes, three more homes have neared completion through the significant help of volunteer groups, and we completed 17 repairs for seniors and adults with disabilities.
And most important are the families at the center of it all! Four family partners are under contract to purchase their new Habitat homes and move in by the holidays, with six more moving through the purchase process for the remaining homes!
As we look towards our 35th Anniversary in 2025, we have so much in store that we’re excited to continue sharing with you! We’re preparing to start construction on three new projects: 17 homes in DC, 10 homes in Fairfax, VA, and a group home for adults with intellectual disabilities in Arlington, VA.
