Biography

Regine Sellote is the new Director of Policy and Advocacy who is bringing her extensive knowledge of effective advocacy tactics and expertise on strategies to advance policy and advocacy priorities from her previous role as a U.S. Advocacy Specialist on Habitat for Humanity International’s Government Relations and Advocacy team. At Habitat DC-NOVA, she most looks forward to growing the advocacy might and capacity of the organization and its networks, and combining her love for volunteerism and activism — something she enjoyed doing as a Habitat Young Professionals volunteer and board member for the affiliate.

Prior to Habitat, Regine was a former staffer on Capitol Hill, serving as the Legislative Correspondent/Staff Assistant for Congresswoman Jackie Speier in the U.S. House of Representatives. Regine has Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Social Policy and Public Service and Political Science, double majors, from the University of California, Irvine.
