Construction Updates
Constitution Avenue
We recently installed the roof on the two condos, allowing work to continue more smoothly through the winter. With the staircase now in place, volunteers can access the upper levels to keep construction moving forward. Meanwhile, we’re collaborating with subcontractors to install essential home systems, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
Reeves Farmhouse
Our team is actively working on remediation efforts and historical preservation tasks, bringing us one step closer to the entering the next stage of construction.
Frye Road
Staff and volunteers are making great progress on renovations including updating the bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor deck. We look forward to completing this renovation in late Spring.
Glebe View Townhomes
We’re working hard to secure funding for the Glebe View Townhomes. Our Resource Development, Real Estate, and Finance teams are exploring financing options to help us break ground on this much-needed housing development.
55th Street Townhomes
Our construction team is preparing the land and setting the stage for utility installations. Once complete, we’ll begin building 17 townhomes, creating more opportunities for affordable homeownership.
Home Repair Updates
Northern Virginia
We recently completed three home repair projects, including one for a Veteran homeowner, in partnership with TruBlue Total House Care of Vienna. Repairs included plumbing fixes, storm door replacements, drywall repair, and shed restoration.
We are currently accepting applications for our home repair program in Northern Virginia. If you know someone in need of assistance, please reach out to Tori Steele, Home Repair Coordinator.
Washington, DC
So far this year, we’ve completed eight home repair projects, many of which have helped senior homeowners safely age in place. Typical projects include installing handrails, modifying bathrooms, and adding grab bars for improved accessibility.
We look forward to expanding our home repair program and continuing to preserve affordable homeownership throughout our region!
