Susan joined the former Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia’s accounting team in April 2019 as the Accounting Manager and is excited to continue working in the merged affiliate as Controller.  She believes that hard working families deserve assistance building stability in the expensive areas of Washington, DC and Northern Virginia and that the stability created can have positive intergenerational impacts.  Susan’s responsibilities include closing the books, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, management reporting, operational accounting and supporting best practices in policies and procedures.  Susan has over twenty years of diverse accounting experience in corporate, governmental and non-profit environments. She is a Certified Public Accountant who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware and a MBA from The George Washington University.
